Discovery 2 Dual Battery Tray:

Dual battery tray for the Land Rover Discovery 2(1999-2004).

The tray is designed in CAD off a 3D scan then laser cut out of .119” steel and uses a factory group 34 battery and a group 36r battery, both easily available and fairly cheap. The 36r adds an additional 130AH to the system, more than doubling the stock capacity. The space is really limited in the factory battery location and this gives the positive terminals much more clearance by moving them towards the rear. The whole thing bolts in using the 6 factory battery box mounting box bolts.

The goal was to make it completely bolt in but there is a bracket and bolt you have to modify. You can see them in the pic where they are painted red. The bolt is hidden behind the grill and passenger side horn. You can probably just grind these off on the truck if you wanted. I pulled and trimmed the bracket and bolt. You could just space the bolt with some washers under the head too.

The part will be powder coated by Performance Kote in a brilliant yellow. Customer colors are available for an additional cost and delivery time.

For the wiring, the factory positive cable works but you'll need to create a new ground cable. I'm looking into making a wiring package add-on but the wiring will be different if you have a VSR or not and depending on other accessories you're running.
